The Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 requires employers to provide necessary information, instruction, training, and supervision to ensure the health and safety at work of employees. The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 expands on this, requiring employers to provide health and safety training in situations such as when people start work, when exposed to new or increased risks, or when existing skills need updating.
